Glaucoma Treatment & Management
Early detection and ongoing management to protect your vision
About This Service
Glaucoma is often called the "silent thief of sight" — it typically causes no pain and no noticeable vision changes until significant, irreversible damage has already occurred. It is the leading cause of preventable blindness worldwide, making early detection and consistent monitoring absolutely critical.
At ProVision Eye Associates, Dr. Kyle Capel and Dr. Stella Park provide comprehensive glaucoma evaluations and ongoing management for patients at risk or already diagnosed. Our diagnostic approach includes intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, optic nerve head evaluation, OCT imaging of the retinal nerve fiber layer, corneal pachymetry, and visual field testing — giving us a complete picture of your glaucoma risk and progression.
For patients diagnosed with glaucoma or ocular hypertension, we develop individualized management plans that may include prescription eye drops to lower IOP, lifestyle guidance, and close monitoring with scheduled follow-up visits. When surgical or laser intervention is indicated, we coordinate seamlessly with trusted ophthalmology specialists for procedures such as SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty), trabeculectomy, or MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery), and continue co-managing your care before and after any procedure.
Our goal is to catch glaucoma as early as possible and preserve your vision for life. If you have a family history of glaucoma, are over age 60, have elevated eye pressure, or have not had a comprehensive eye exam recently, we strongly encourage you to schedule an evaluation.
