Comprehensive Eye Exams

Thorough evaluations for patients of all ages

A comprehensive eye exam at ProVision is far more than a vision test. Our thorough evaluation assesses your complete visual system and eye health, and can even detect early signs of systemic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.

During your exam, we'll evaluate visual acuity, refractive error, eye muscle function, peripheral vision, intraocular pressure, and the health of all eye structures — from the cornea to the retina. We use advanced diagnostic technology including optical coherence tomography (OCT) and digital retinal imaging for the most complete picture of your eye health.

What's Included

  • Visual acuity and refraction testing
  • Glaucoma screening (tonometry)
  • Retinal examination with OCT imaging
  • Diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy screening
  • Macular degeneration evaluation

Dry Eye Treatment

The most advanced dry eye therapies available — all under one roof

Dry eye syndrome is one of the most common — and most undertreated — eye conditions. At ProVision Eye Associates, we take a comprehensive, root-cause approach to dry eye. Rather than simply prescribing drops to mask symptoms, we identify the underlying cause — whether it's meibomian gland dysfunction, inflammation, Demodex infestation, or environmental factors — and build a personalized treatment plan.

We are proud to offer one of the most advanced dry eye treatment suites in the Blue Bell, PA area, including IPL Optilight, Forma-I InMode radiofrequency, TriLift dynamic muscle stimulation, meibomian gland expression, and Celluma LLLT photobiomodulation. These cutting-edge technologies work synergistically to restore healthy tear production and lasting comfort.

  • Forma-I InMode — radiofrequency for meibomian gland restoration

Our optometrists are experienced in examining children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. We use child-friendly techniques and equipment to make exams comfortable and even fun. We also screen for vision problems that can affect learning and academic performance.

What's Included

  • Amblyopia (lazy eye) detection and treatment

Binocular Vision Exam

Diagnosing and treating eye coordination disorders

Binocular vision refers to the ability of both eyes to work together as a coordinated team. When this system breaks down, it can cause a wide range of symptoms that are often misdiagnosed — including headaches, eye strain, double vision, reading difficulties, and even dizziness or balance problems.

At ProVision Eye Associates, Dr. Kyle Capel and Dr. Stella Park perform comprehensive binocular vision evaluations that go far beyond a standard eye exam. We assess how your eyes converge, diverge, and maintain focus together — identifying conditions like convergence insufficiency, accommodative dysfunction, and oculomotor disorders that standard screenings routinely miss.

Binocular vision problems are especially common in children and can significantly impact reading, learning, and academic performance. Many children labeled with attention difficulties actually have an underlying vision problem. Our thorough evaluation can uncover these hidden issues and guide effective treatment.

What's Included

  • Convergence insufficiency testing and treatment
  • Accommodative dysfunction evaluation
  • Oculomotor (eye tracking) assessment
  • Stereopsis (depth perception) testing
  • Vision therapy planning and referral
  • Learning-related vision evaluations
Recommended:Recommended for children with reading/learning difficulties, headaches, or double vision

Scleral Contact Lenses

Advanced specialty lenses for complex prescriptions and ocular conditions

Scleral contact lenses are large-diameter gas-permeable lenses that vault over the entire corneal surface and rest on the less sensitive white part of the eye (the sclera). This unique design makes them an exceptional option for patients who have struggled with conventional contact lenses — especially those with irregular corneas or chronic dry eye.

At ProVision Eye Associates, we specialize in fitting scleral lenses for a wide range of conditions. Unlike standard contact lenses, sclerals create a smooth optical surface over an irregular cornea, dramatically improving vision quality. The fluid reservoir between the lens and the cornea also provides continuous moisture — making them a game-changer for dry eye patients.

Dr. Kyle Capel has extensive experience fitting scleral lenses and works closely with each patient to achieve the optimal fit, comfort, and visual outcome. If you've been told you can't wear contacts, or if you've struggled with comfort or vision quality, scleral lenses may be the solution.

What's Included

  • Keratoconus and irregular cornea management
  • Post-surgical corneal irregularities (LASIK, RK, corneal transplant)
  • Severe dry eye and ocular surface disease
  • High astigmatism and complex prescriptions
  • Pellucid marginal degeneration
  • Enhanced comfort for contact lens intolerant patients
Recommended:Initial fitting + follow-up visits; annual contact lens exam required

Demodex Diagnosis & Management

Treating the root cause of eyelid inflammation and chronic eye irritation

Demodex are microscopic mites that naturally live on human skin — but when they overpopulate the eyelids and eyelash follicles, they cause a condition called Demodex blepharitis. This is far more common than most people realize, affecting an estimated 45–65% of adults, and is one of the most underdiagnosed causes of chronic eye irritation, dry eye, and lid inflammation.

At ProVision Eye Associates, Dr. Kyle Capel and Dr. Stella Park are experienced in diagnosing and treating Demodex infestations using the most advanced, evidence-based treatments available. We examine eyelid margins under high magnification and can identify the telltale cylindrical dandruff (collarettes) at the base of lashes that are the hallmark sign of Demodex.

Left untreated, Demodex blepharitis can worsen dry eye disease, cause recurrent styes, lead to corneal damage, and significantly reduce contact lens comfort. The good news: with the right treatment protocol, patients experience dramatic relief — often within weeks.

What's Included

  • In-office Demodex diagnosis with slit-lamp examination
  • ZEST (Zocular Eyelid System Treatment) in-office deep cleaning
  • NuLids mechanical lid hygiene device for at-home maintenance
  • Xdemvy (lotilaner ophthalmic solution 0.25%) — FDA-approved Demodex treatment
  • Customized at-home lid hygiene protocols
  • Integration with dry eye treatment plans
Recommended:Initial evaluation + treatment series; maintenance therapy as needed

Glaucoma Treatment & Management

Early detection and ongoing management to protect your vision

Glaucoma is often called the "silent thief of sight" — it typically causes no pain and no noticeable vision changes until significant, irreversible damage has already occurred. It is the leading cause of preventable blindness worldwide, making early detection and consistent monitoring absolutely critical.

At ProVision Eye Associates, Dr. Kyle Capel and Dr. Stella Park provide comprehensive glaucoma evaluations and ongoing management for patients at risk or already diagnosed. Our diagnostic approach includes intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, optic nerve head evaluation, OCT imaging of the retinal nerve fiber layer, corneal pachymetry, and visual field testing.

For patients diagnosed with glaucoma or ocular hypertension, we develop individualized management plans that may include prescription eye drops to lower IOP, lifestyle guidance, and close monitoring with scheduled follow-up visits. When surgical or laser intervention is indicated, we coordinate seamlessly with trusted ophthalmology specialists and continue co-managing your care.

What's Included

  • Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement at every comprehensive exam
  • OCT retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) imaging for early structural changes
  • Humphrey visual field testing for functional loss assessment
  • Corneal pachymetry (central corneal thickness measurement)
  • Optic nerve head photography and documentation
  • Prescription glaucoma eye drop management and monitoring
  • Co-management with trusted ophthalmology surgical specialists
  • Glaucoma suspect monitoring and risk stratification
Recommended:Every 3–6 months for diagnosed glaucoma; annually for suspects and at-risk patients
