Pediatric Eye Care
Gentle, thorough eye care for children of all ages
About This Service
Children's vision develops rapidly in the first years of life, and early detection of problems is critical. Many vision conditions — including amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes) — are most effectively treated when caught early, often before a child can even describe what they're experiencing.
Our optometrists are experienced in examining children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. We use child-friendly techniques and equipment to make exams comfortable and even fun. We also screen for vision problems that can affect learning and academic performance — conditions that are often mistaken for attention or behavioral issues.
We recommend the InfantSEE program for babies 6–12 months, and follow the American Optometric Association's recommended schedule for children through their school years. Early, regular eye care gives your child the visual foundation they need to thrive.
